About HAF

HAF Consulting is a boutique telecommunications, media and technology consulting firm started in 1997 and now with around 30 associates. The founding and managing partners of HAF are based in UK, Poland, USA and Netherlands giving the company global coverage. The company’s focus is on high-level projects and senior consulting placements (e.g. $3B M&A projects, placement of Directors in start-ups) and, as such, all of our people have between 15 and 40 years experience; we have no “junior” people. HAF Consulting and its founders have worked on many telecommunications, media and technology projects in over 50 countries across all continents of the world. Our small size and geographic diversity provides for a rapid and flexible response to our clients needs worldwide.

Something that sets the company apart from many of its competitors is that we are equally experienced in both business development projects and hands-on operational projects. Our ability to see “both sides of the coin” gives us valuable insight into the real operational costs and challenges when working on a business development project and valuable insight into the dynamics of the business and its financing when working on operational projects. Our key skill areas in these 2 categories are:

• Business Development – business case creation, analysis and scenario modelling, equity and debt investor relations, license acquisition (tender, bid, auction), government relations, M&A transactions
• Operations – placement of directors and senior executives in start-up enterprises and serving on boards of directors (e.g. CTO, Marketing Director), network roll-out, business start-up, due-diligence, operational audits and action plan implementation, P&L responsibility and overall management and organisational leadership
